The Google-owned YouTube platform has silenced the voice of an ex-transgender by the name of Walt Heyer for stating that children “are not born transgender.”
As part of a three-hour panel discussion entitled, “Summit on Protecting Children from Sexualization” that was put on by the Heritage Foundation, Heyer explained that transgenderism is not an identity, but rather “a childhood development disorder.” And for boldly telling the truth, he and the entire event were pulled from YouTube for “hate speech.”
According to The Daily Signal, an online publication of the Heritage Foundation, YouTube is now weaponizing the designation of “hate speech” to target any and all speech that leftists find offensive – a trend that we, too, have been warning about for years.
“We vehemently disagree with YouTube’s decision to suppress valid medical information,” stated Rob Bluey, executive editor for the Signal and Heritage vice president.
“Not only is this decision anti-science, but it’s also part of an alarming trend of YouTube removing or blocking content that it doesn’t like.”
In an email response to The Federalist, YouTube claimed that the decision to pull the summit video from its platform was valid because the company’s hate speech policy “prohibits videos which assert that someone’s sexuality or gender identity is a disease or a mental illness.”
“We quickly remove videos violating our policies when flagged by our users,” the Silicon Valley giant added.
But Emily Kao, director of the Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society, vehemently disagrees. Kao, who hosted the summit in question, stated that YouTube is simply hiding behind false claims of “hate speech” as it willy-nilly censors whatever content it does not like.
“This won’t help children and families struggling with this disorder who want information from both sides of the debate,” she contends.
Listen below to The Health Ranger Report as Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, talks about how to find sanity in this absolutely insane world:
As a little background, Heyer was born a man and was married with children for 15 years before deciding to file for divorce and undergo surgery to make himself look more like a woman. For eight years after that, he lived as “Laura,” a female transgender.
He eventually regretted this decision, however, and decided to “de-transition.” He then became a prominent voice speaking out against the dangers of transgenderism, cross-sex affirmation, and so-called “sex reassignment” surgery,” which he says is “the greatest medical fraud in history.”
Over the years, Heyer has been contacted by many other people just like him who either went through the “transition” process already or have thought about doing so. More “transgenders” than you might think come to regret that decision and try to revert back, only to discover that there is no help for them.
“These folks had to reach out to Walt because many Western countries have made it nearly impossible for those who experience regret after ‘transitioning’ to find the help they seek,” writes Doug Mainwaring for LifeSiteNews.
Because Heyer is also being censored from social media platforms as well as YouTube, he is also unable to reach people through that medium, which is why he decided to set up SexChangeRegret.com.
“Affirming children into cross-gender identity is child abuse,” he contends, not afraid to speak the truth in person despite being censored on YouTube. “Let’s be honest: It’s not physical abuse, but it’s psychological abuse. It’s emotional abuse. And it’s sexual abuse. We cannot kid ourselves any longer.”
A self-proclaimed Christian, Heyer is also bold in stating: “I stand before you with a mutilated body, redeemed by Christ.”
